[It had taken some time, but Ana's gentle persistence had finally paid off, and Hiro had agreed to invite her to his workshop and work on some of her gear for her. Ever since that broadcast his robot had created she'd been both curious and concerned for the boy, but didn't want to pry too much into his personal life. Bu still, that maternal instinct wouldn't allow her to simply leave him be. He still sounded guarded, but she kept things friendly, not wanting to scare him off. Since it was mostly a serum-filled dart and a projectile launcher, it was easy to convert the mechanism into a functional form using this world's available tech (and, if Ana focused hard enough, even augment the boost by using her own emotions). Next was her biotic grenades, which was a bit harder to upgrade.]
